Curtiss SB2C-4 Helldiver

1/72  -  Cyber Hobby step by step video build

Welcome to the Curtiss SB2C-4 Helldiver video build. The kit is in 1/72nd scale and is manufactured by Cyber Hobby (Dragon). It is a very nice and well detailed kit with just a few low points. The first episode of this step by step build will take us to the point where we have painted, weathered and assembled cockpit and gunner station and closed fuselage.

The second episode will take us trough the assembly, painting, weathering and finally the completion of this scale model.

And a few pictures of the finished model.

MiG-21 MF

Step by step video build - Eduard 1/72

How is it going guys. Recently I bought the pre-release version of the kit and it is amazing even without the photo-etch.

So here is how all begins

All cleaned up, some minor assembly and ready for primer.

Namely Mr.Surfacer 1500 Black

Then some ammo Turquoise Green.

The cockpit is now detail-painted and weathered. Haven't used the decals (besides the seat belts) 😄

... well we are ready for some primer and paint :)

First mr.surfacer 1500 black

Then mr.color gloss black

and finally AK extreme metal - polished aluminium

So called "paneling" was employed mostly freehand ;) using AK extreme metal dark aluminium and duraluminium.

One step closer to the finish :)
The decals are on

weathering wash was applied. I used deep gray from Ammo.

Subtle Weathering

the most difficult part of the build coming next

There are many ways to mask wheel wells and other openings in your scale model. Some are easy some are more complicated but all serve the purpose of protecting from  over-spray and they all have their place in our modelers arsenal.

Fly models - 1/144 plastic scale model build

In this video we are going to build the McDonnell Douglas DC-9 Skytrain employed by NASA for the reduced gravity program. The kit comes from Fly models and it is in 1/144th scale. Apart from the usual plastic sprues and decals there are a few resin antennas to add. Since the model is going to be built in flying configuration we are going to use the display stand from Zvezda.
